The wait is over! CMP 4 will be in person at 1800 Chem (UM central campus) on Saturday, April 15, at 7 PM Eastern.

The waiting room is not over! For those who are unable to attend in person, the event will be Simulcast on Zoom.

The weight has returned! Snack Table will be in full effect. I had already bought some snacks for CMP in 2020. They have been in my freezer for 3 years. I’m sure it’s fine.

The waiting (for the show to end) is complicated! We have more clips in more categories than can reasonably(*) be shown in one in-person evening. There will be a supplemental remote-only show later in the year for the final four categories. Time and date TBD, although it will almost certainly be a Saturday.

(*) Perhaps the only context in which we strive to be reasonable.

Here are the Final and Accurate Results of the third year’s Cine Mal Practice shows. This one took a little longer than usual because we had a tie, which meant we needed a tiebreaker policy, and then consequently we needed to enact said policy. But don’t we run tiebreakers at the shows? We do, but this one … was complicated.

You will note that there are several different winners listed. Each show has its individual winner, and the overall winner is chosen by aggregated vote total. In case of a tie, the two clips are presented at the following UCON Primary (usually in November, but this year in October due to UM Home Football Schedule Shenanigans), and the tie is broken by UCON vote.
