Operation: Take No Prisoners

For a movie that had car chase gunfights, foot chase gunfights, boat chase gunfights, and even a ziplining action sequence gunfight, how was Operation: Take No Prisoners so boring?

Our main character is a morally ambiguous “freelance operative” who kidnaps a scientist and his wife and daughter to protect them from two different US government agencies that are trying to capture and/or kill the scientist. There is also some handwaving about Soviet infiltration, and at least two characters with outrageous Boris & Natasha quality Russian accents.

My favorite part of the movie is toward the end when the government agents are trying to kill the scientist and his family, and each member of the family, in turn, kills one of the agents hunting them, without even a hint toward trauma or regret. I suppose sociopathy is genetic.
